Jodi Hammer leads this ministry which is ranked as the second best elementary school in the Peten region of Guatemala.

Goals:

•  To support a safe and exciting environment rich in Christian love and educational opportunities;

•  To grow in the students love and respect for learning, for others, for the world, and for God, the Creator of all, and;

•  To form in the students habits of obedience, order, respect, attention, kindness, self-control, self-sacrifice, and joy in learning.

Philosophy:

As a philosophy and base for forming these habits, we recognize that:

•  Children obey better when their lives are full of satisfaction and enjoyable activities;

•  Adults gain the respect and obedience of children by treating them with kindness, respect, trust, love, responsibility, and authority, and;

•  Children do better in their studies and in their personal lives when there is order; it is important that they contribute to the order of their school environment.

Educational Methods:

It is our desire that the children not be seen as vessels to fill with ideas and information, but rather as persons who need to be trained in the truths of the Bible, physical exercise, nature, crafts, science, art, and literature so as to be more able to make the Christian life valid for themselves and to be good citizens of the future.
