Instituto Evangelico America Latina

The Instituto Evangelico America Latina operates an extension health care program under the guidance of Medical Director Dr. Pedro "Tito" Palacios. Permanent clinics are located within the four school locations (Chimaltenango, Palencia , and two in Guatemala City ) and a fifth at San Pedro la Laguna on Lake Atitlan . Each is staffed on scheduled days by a doctor and health care workers.

Additional health clinics with North American medical teams are scheduled several times a year into remote areas coordinated by local doctors and pastors. During the past year, seven such teams were scheduled as a way to provide continuity of health care to five such remote areas. These teams address dental as well as a wide spectrum of medical needs.
